Fernando Belasteguin has been Juan Martín’s partner since 2002. He is considered the best defensive paddle player in the world. His great talent and commitment led him to the top of the international, national and Argentinian ranking. Both of them constitute probably the best couple ever, currently Nº1 in the Padel Pro Tour ranking.

Fernando was born on 19th May, 1979, in Pehuajó, Argentina. By 1995, at the age of 15, he started his career as a professional player.

Five years later, Fernando is already considered the best Argentinian player and since 2001 he occupies the first place in the international ranking. In 2002 and 2004, both Juan Martín and Fernando won the World Championship. In the same years 2002, 2004 and 2006 he achieved the World Paddle Championship title with the Argentina’s Men’s Team and got five Silver Olimpias consecutively as well, a sport award in Argentina given to the most important sportspeople of the year.

At present, Fernando sponsors a subsidized Bakery training workshop called “The Future” and the Paddle School “Fernando Belasteguin” located in Bolivar, both for special children.
